Rims or hood?

Well i just picked up a white 97 GTP (pics coming tomorow hopefully) and i've got some leftover cash to spend on it. Im trying to decide between buying the ram air hood, or buying new rims. THe current rims are white, and they're alright. What do you guys think would give my car more flare? the hood or the rims? im leaning toward the hood. I think that whichever one i get will end up running me somewhere close to 800-900 dollars, unless i get some cheaper rims.

I think the rims are the way to go...if you add the hood first it almost might make it look like a car that someone just took a set of wheels off of...then again without seeing the car I may be way off...personally I'd hang onto the bucks for now, since you just got the car you mayhave to wind up doing a few repairs before you know it...better to have the cash on hand to fix it right.

X2 save the money, and look for repairs. Then mod away! If you only have 900.00 your going to need cash for a hood.....1200.00+

99 GTP Mods= Wizair, U-Bend delete, Resonator delete, 180 T-stat, Msd coil pack.
Appearance mods= 20% tint all around, HID's, rerouted flashes to fogs and tails, front grill has a Red Gtp badge,Calipers painted red, engine cover painted silver, and with red lettering, rear pontiac red overlays, and side Gtp badges have red overlays, Silver star fogs, A piller w/gauges boost installed, oil, knock have to be installed, and a GPS.

Mods to come= 3" DP, and others........haven't thought about it

or if your that much wanting mods ... or something you can do pcm intake exhaust ... check the plugs and wires on it and then you will still have a little left over

i keep seeing this figure of $1200 dollars being thrown around. especially when they havent done this before. as i said before, i had mine done of about $950-1000

700 (incl. tax) for hood + 400 (incl tax) for prep, paint and proper install.

If they only want less than 200 for prep, paint, and install. Don't go to them.

950 does seem like a pretty low price. gotta factor in freight shipping which cost $100-150, too

Yeah, were going by the pontiac dealership tomorow just to have it looked over and have a few minor repairs done, even though it will probably be expensive. Were probably going to spend money on having new fluids( i had the oil changed today) filters ect.
