40th AE GP

I hate how the 40th anniversary's look, I just have one thing I wanna know... why purple?? WHY?

the car would look 10x's better if it didnt have the g-ma rims on it.

^---agreed. It's a sick kind of irony to have 16" chrome wheels, with like 20 spokes.

My favorite style of chrome wheels would be something like the Cobra Mustang wheels, 5 spoke, 17-18"

i dont like the interior or the hood scoops. maybe if it were a diff color.

The color doesn't bother me but the two tone interior colors are awful plus I don't like the rear spoiler.

But there have been 35 bids so far so some one wants it.

Is that 40th Ann. Spolier or the SLP GTX gen 2 one. And L love the two tone interior just not in Pruple I like Gray and Black.

There are subtle differences between it and the SLP Gen2.

Not sure where you guys are getting "purple", maybe your monitors....

The 40th is a Dark Cherry Metallic, with Charcoal/Burgandy interior... Very attractive car in person. Far from Purple.

I will agree with you all on the rims, as I'm a 5 spoke fan myself.

The hood has functional heat extractors, not hood scoops.

those rims belong on a regal, not a gp

This color combo sucks, maybe it's the lighting but they don't compliment eachother

for tow tone I'd go something like graphite main and a platinum insert.

Definitely has it's plus'es and minus'es.

Plus: Best looking hood and spoiler setup for a GTP, and yes that includes all the aftermarket varieties of each. Sorry, I'm a believer in fucntion over looks. The ram air hoods look ok, but serve virtually no function what so ever. The spoiler is more molded to the body lines and it just looks better. I like the roof rails too. All three of these were derived from the 2000 GTP special edition Daytona Pace Car.

Minus: That particular two-tone is hard on the eyes at best, they should have went with different interior colors. The exterior paint is ok, but I'm sure they could have come up with something more exciting. The medium gulf blue, like Hecr's 98 Daytona Edition would have been a good choice. The rims are just, well, to put it nicely, ugly. Oh, it has 2 doors too many also, I just don't get excited over 4 doors. My own personal taste.

I've been in Bahrain for just over a month and have seen quite a few nice cars. 4 or 5 GTP's, 2 Vipers rolling together on the main strip and some awesome Ferrari's. Need to start carrying my camera with me.

I wish I knew how to do my own apolstery/interior work, if i did my interior would look a lot better than the blandness thats in there now.

I've always thought about that too... i wish i knew how to reupholster stuff..
