Ok, I've got my heart set on getting the Flowmaster 40 series mufflers. My question is what other things do I need to get to install them.

-Which size? 2.25in/2.5in/3in?
-Centered or offset?
-Someone to cut off old muffs/someone to weld (or clamp) new ones on.
-Hangers?(not really sure what comes with the muffs
-Anything else?
-Oh, and exhaust tips...

You need offset in/center out.

For stock tips iirc you'll need 2 1/2.

Unfortunately you can't get them with the proper inlet size so you'll need reducers to have them mounted.

I cut my own off and clamped them on.

If you cut your own make sure you cut in a spot where the pipes will mount straight out the back.

I had to use some generic hangers. Ymmv.

Any exhaust shop will hook you up and weld on hangers, you will need reducers if you have stock piping and you need 2 1/2" offset inlet and centre outlet .Chico.

Cost me around 400.00 to have mine welded on with hangers (that includes the cost of the mufflers)

They also seem to get better with age. The sound has gone from a "hole in the exhaust" sound to a nice deep rumble.

I work at a Body Shop, I did my boss a big favor so he owes me one, otherwise I'd pay one of the body guys to do it.

Are those reducers for the tips or for the piping?

Reducers are for the piping.

The stock tips are 2 1/2 inch.

The Y piping is iirc 2" the stock tips are 2 1/2"

Get what ever outlet size you need for the tips you want. Just remember you'll need reducers to mount the muffs to your pipes.

Iirc most of the tips that people like on here come in a 2 1/2"

If you have original exhaust you will need something to connect the muffs up as the curves are impossible to clamp to. That is why i had mine welded on.
