My friend just got the car and he talked like the car was the fastest thing in the world. We raced from a 5mph roll because it was raining and I knew I wouldnt get traction as it is. He got about a 30 ft lead because I just spun but once I gained traction I pulled up on him and got in front of him at about 110mph. Afterwards he looked at me like eek . Now hes not talking bout the TT anymore lol Some people dont know how fast there car is or how fast these cars are.

The Audi TT is a slow car. That AWD zaps alot of power. However the 07 TT will have over 300hp and will finally live up to its hype.

The TT would get the 60' but the GTP will take it in the 1/4. The TT is rated at just over 200 ponies and with the quattro set up they lose alot in the drive train.

Some people think the TT means twin turbo. And yet, just plain not true.

I own both a GTP and a 2001 TT quattro Roadster. If you know how to drive the TT stick you can give the GTP an run for it's money, but the GTP will pull away until the speed limiter kicks in.

At that point the TT will walk away. With that said, if you have your GTP chipped it will help, but when you get up to those kinds of speeds I would definitely feel safer in the TT because the car is much more stable at high speeds. The same hold for cornering etc.. Between the GTP and the TT there is no comparison. Now if you modify the TT, like many do then the comparisons get very interesting. There is one guy who modded the 1.8T and got it to put out 500hp to the wheels!

By the way, the TT stands for Tourist Trophy, and was designed by the same guy who designed the Beatle and was meant to be a tribute to the shared heritage between VW and Porsche.
