you have to remaove the whole back seat and then slide out the board that the speaker covers are attached to...it takes a while and it is frustrating...you have to start by removing the part of the seat where you sit your butt...there are two little plastic rings that you have to pull underneath where your legs would be...pull them gently and then pull up & out the seat...

make sure you get the seat belts back in correctly and don't force the seat down-trust me.

Hey Adam & Jeff,

OK...I've taken the butt part of the seat off. Then I've taken the 2 small retaining bolts and 2 large holding the seat belts and seat backs.

But now it seems to also have some sort of retainment in the upper part of the seat back. Is this in the trunk or elsewhere? confused I'm going to crawl and investigate further, but can you guys give me a minor hint? banghead

The part that is holdign the seat back in place are hooks...you can see these fom the trunk if you crawl in...you need to lift up & out and wiggle a bit to get it out...I told u it was a pain in the @$$...

Hey Adam,
Thanks. I took the liberty of going to CarMax, the place where the GP was purchased. And yes, the guy came out and demonstrated the removal.

I'm happy to report that the old speaks are out, and the new ones are now in. I'll wait until tomorrow to reinstall all the other matter (like the actual seats). It's been enough for one day.

Thanks to all again!!! cheers
