Im looking into getting a 98 GTP in the next month or so. I have looked at this store and SLP.
Im wanting to do some mods to the engine.
Are there any you would suggest and any I should stay away from?

Thanks a bunch

John

Welcome aboard John, I know that most GPers will suggest you avoid Tranny Coolers, the "speed chip" mod that is sold so often on ebay is a ripoff, the "tornado" intake mod is worthless as well. Also, with a GTP specifically you will want to eventually get a smaller pulley, but you won't want to run anything smaller than a 3.4" pulley without proper supporting mods. That's about all I can think of, but I'm sure some others will add to the list.

Welcome aboard!
How 'bout you post up some pics as soon as you get her.
Herc's site is a very good place to start. He's got many vendor you could look at to give you some ideas on what you might be wanting to do.
It also gives ideas on what to stay away from, like the trans cooler, tornado, and that $0.02 resistor they sell on ebay for $20, but the packaging sure is purty.

JOHN!!!! I can't wait for you to get her and then we can start up STW Cars together!! Matt and I will keep our eyes out for a GTP whenever we are out and about.

Have you signed up on www.clubgp.com yet? There is a wealth of information on there as well.
