Yeah, i searched some old threads and saw the difference in silverstars and hids, which is exactly what I was looking for, and it 100% decided it for me, DEFINITELY going with HIDs. silverstars are still ugly yellow. The output is just a plus, I just want white light, not yellow. what is the upgraded harness? It is necessary for the fogs? have ur fog houses melted or did u modify them? I found this seller on ebay for a HID kit. It doesn't seem like a cheap chinese knock-off. What do you all think. Any one bought some off ebay and remember what seller it was? I'd like to get the kits from someone that I know sell good ones. These are the cheapest ones i've found but are made over seas. A bad idea?

my fog light housings have been fine with the HID's in there. The upgraded harness isnt neccesary, but some guys have had problems without it.

I got my headlights from your first link "HID kit". im not sure where the fog lights are from.

Never heard of the 2nd link, but if it gives you peice of mind, get the more expensive kit, i have had good luck with them.

I just got an email from the second company, their store is called mydepots.com. They can ship me 2 kits including shipping to canada for 135. Thats cheap...considering every ebay store wants 60 dollars to ship to Canada (which is ridiculous) and to get 4 silverstar bulbs will equal 135 after taxes. i think i'm gonna go with that.

I've been thinking about going HID I do have the silver stars in the headlights, and fogs but they seem to be expensive.....since I feel like I'm always getting new bulds ever 6-8months. I have a question about the HID kit on the 1st page. Does it come with everything I need to install? I know I have to disable the DRL's and the flashes for keyless remote. Do I have to know anything else?

HID's aren't meant to be flashed, or for the day time running lights....not good for the bulds.

can't you just replace the daytime runing light resister with a jumper? then they'll still get full voltage they need. I can see removing the flash, it's annoying anyway.

Our bulbs have two filaments, one for high beams and the other for low beams. The filament for your high beams is out. Replace the bulb and it will be fine. [/b]
Ah, thanks. I'll replace it eventually then. Seeing as my high beams are worse than the regular (even when I had both), and looking at them, there was no difference, there's no point in using highs, so I'm in no rush to replace it. lol

they are worth the money. They are all pretty much the same kit, just make sure it comes with bulbs, ballasts, and the wiring. Should be under or around 80 shipped

8k are really blue. i have them in my headlights and i wish i had 6k's. I have either 5k's or 6k's (not sure of which, got them used) in my fog lights and they are really really nice.

4300 is the whitest/brightest you can get. the higher you go, the more blue and less light output
