Well I finally got the costs

1000-1250 for an engine cradle, plus the work on rewelding the wender, repairing the fender, and fixing the inner fender wall

350 for the CV joints, tie rods, alignment job, and other little junk

300 for windshield

I payed 2650 for the car, its got a tranny that will prolly go bad in about 9 months to a year once I start driving it. But well thats life. ive got 1650 to 1900 in damages. Aint gonna find no GTP that cheap so I told my mechanic to go ahead and rally up the parts. Rebuild is in 2 weeks. Just thought id let everyone know.

That's not too bad price wise for all that work.

Remember when I was having problems with my truck mis-firing? and I changed all those parts out? Just to get back on the road is costing me about $1500 in parts and labor. Turned out I had a bent exhaust valve kooky

That sounds pretty good, it's nice to have a good mechanic around. Good luck getting the car back on the road smile

Since you have to replace the cradle it would be wise to look for an aluminum one from a monte carlo ,check with Ed Morad for price ,you will get a sustantial weght savings.Chico.

I've heard the aluminum cradles are prone to crack.

Just something to throw out there.
