Well, after 99.8 gallons used I am at 26.4mpg for the entire average. That is 2634.72 miles at 26.4mpg

That includes 75 miles per day 5 days a week durring rush hour and some weekend driving around town

That is not bad I think for how heavy the car is, the mods I did to it and the conditions I drive in.

I recently did a tuneup on my 2000 GTP (OEM Irridium plugs, MSD wires, new PCV, new air filter) and have been averaging around 24-26mpg on each tank in a mixture of highway and stop and go traffic, 100+ degree heat with the air on at all times. I tend to reset the fuel used and average MPG every time I fill up just to keep an eye on things.

I agree - the fact that we can get this kind of mileage out of car this size is outstanding! I've surprised many people when I tell them that I can get almost 4-banger economy out of a supercharged V6.... cheers

I drove cross country keeping the cruise control set at 72 mph and I averaged 34 mpg smile

These full size cars are awsome for gas.

how are you all getting 24+ mpg...I've been getting 20 for the longest time. I just recently installed a KN cone filter and it jumped up to 23.4 for about 1/2 hour but then it settled back down to 20. confused

I keep the rpms below 2500. Tire pressures on the higher side, proper tune, open cone filter.

I got 34.2mpg once. I put cruise control on at 78mph for 68mile. on damn near level highway. no wind, no traffic. 79mph got worse and 77mph got worse. My gp was also not modified at the time.
