Anyone notice any downsides to replacing the stock SC pulley with a 3.4? Is the blower sluggish on initial boost given the higher "gear" ratio?

Any motor or tranny issues?

Not an expert by any means, but it seemed like you at least deserved a reply. On my 2000 GTP, no down side, no problems. Installed the pulley August of 2000. This was when they cost $90, and it was worth it to me.

Charles: Many thanks -- I'll probably add this mod to my to-do list.

Thats usually one of the first mods people do on their L67 cars.

Intake > Exhaust > Pulley

As far as I have heard - there are no downsides to this mod. It was just that GM was being conservative to preserve tranny life, is all.

Keep in mind that 3.4" pulley will prolley set off bells if you try to take the car in for warranty work. The pulley caliper test is the first thing most GM dealers do nowadays on L67 cars.

So if you still have a warranty ... keep that in mind.
