Just bought a multicolored LED and wheelwell kit for my 04 GP, but it requires me to cut and splice into my ignition wire under the dash. Anybody know the proper procedure for doing so? Ive wired scanners, interior LEDs, touchscreens, subs and other such accessories. This however is something ive never done and obviously dont want to f*** up, but dont really feel like shelling out as much as I spent to get it professional installed. Especially seeing as the rest of the project is already done and easier than installing subs!

ide wire it into your dome light so they come on whenever your done light is on, my friend did it on his grand am and it was pretty cool, it faded and everything

If not just find switched 12 volt that is only hot when the key is on

Thanks again, I was thinking of trying something like that. My cobra gps scanner asked me to do the same thing and I wired into my 12v fuse panel and it works awesome no more wires on the floor. Do you think it would create any problems if it was wired to come on with my fog lights?

i think the fogs sounds like a pretty good idea. It just depends on how much youre gonna use it.
