Well gang i am bidding you all a fond farewell.
i traded the grand prix off today. i was getting tired of the uncomfortable seats and lousy ride. after 15 months i am still unhappy with this car.since i am a gm dealership technican i have decided to stay with a gm car. never never again will i buy a car that is redesigned and not made for a big guy like me. i bought a real nice buick regal ls sedan. this car has more leg room and the seats are much better. and it rides real smooth too. peace to all and i sure enjoyed all the storys and comments here, take care paul in iowa. hammer

Buick Regal..My GrandFather had one.
Paul, a Grand Prix is a sports car it rides harder and runs tighter inside, your a gm guy you should have known this from the begining (test drive)
Don't complain about the car.

i did look at the lacrosse. nice car but way to much money. the regal i got had just the right stuff on it and i fit in it like a normal person.plus it rides so much better. never could get adjusted to the stiffer ride on the grand prix. hell my 2001 road better. and the seats were better in the 01 also. but i am happy as a lark now. just cant wait to see the comments i get from the management at work. we sell chevys and pontiacs, no buicks. so what. just because i work there doesnt mean i have to buy my car there. paul in iowa.

Now that you own the Regal is it the GS (Supercharged version) or the LS? Well when I looked at the GTP I wanted something sportier looking and loved the HUD. The Buick Regal didn't have that (HUD) and it was more situated for the luxury crowd and had more meager/smoother styling than the Pontiac. But yes the Pontiac Grand Prix has more of a Cockpit feel to it. But otherwise your sticking with GM which is cool. thumbsup

I got the ls with leather package. and does it ride nice too. all i need is a car that i fit in with some comfort. i am 6ft 6in tall and since i have been off work on medical recovery i have had a chance to sit in alot of cars to see which one i fit in best. by far the regal is the ticket for me. i got a good price on trade in for the grand prix i think and got 6000 off on the regal. funny thing. i work at a gm dealership and we only sell pontiacs and chevys. i spent a ton of time looking on the net for the right buick regal and there was only 2 in the state of iowa that had the equipment on it that i wanted. i think i lucked out on this deal. i am very happy now and dont really care what management at work has to say. just because i work there doesnt mean i HAVE too buy my car there. its a free country. paul in iowa

Just because you don't have a GP doesn't mean you have to leave. We have people who have gotten rid of thier GPs and moved over to the dark side ie a Dodge truck. Stick around enjoy the gang.

The buicks are extremely comfortable. I wonder if the seats would swap in a GTP.
