I'm taking delivery either Wednesday 12/14 or Thursday morning 12/15 of my brand new Black on Black GT. I looked at the driver seat tonight and the center leather seat panel had a large "bag" or "bubble" centered in it, about 3" by 1" in size. Most of the other leather is reasonably taut. I don't like the way it looks and think it probably can't be fixed. Unfortunately, I'm a PIA where cars are concerned and I expect everything to be right. What would you do? Would you take delivery?

If there truly is a problem with it, I'd have them fix it before taking delivery. They might tell you to take it and bring it back tomorrow or something, just so they can see you drive away in it. Don't take it. Leave it there until you are satisfied with the outcome.

Bobby,
Good advice. I'll see what they say when I go to pick it up tomorrow morning. I'm in no rush to take delivery anyway, I've got a backup Bonneville that I still need to sell. I love your white GTP coupe. I have a silver 99 GT coupe that I gave to my daughter a few years ago. She loves the car and, in fact, it is probably the favorite car I've ever owned next to my 2000 Vette coupe. I hope the '06 is as nice but I'm not sure. I think it will be hard to beat that last generation of GP.

I took delivery today. Turns out that the leather "problem" didn't really look like much when I had a chance to closely inspect it. The dealer said that if anything arose in the future that it would be a warrantied item, since it's a seat cushion.
