Can anyone recommend a source for New, upgraded headlights for a 2005 GTP?
I don't want to rewire, or eliminate my high beams or auto-on feature.
Just looking for "plug and play" replacement headlight modules.
Thanks!

Are you looking to replace stock headlights"

If you are looking for brighter light the only option I think you have (other then fabricating up projectors in your existing lens) is to go HID's. HID's are plug and play, you just have to mount the ballast and replace the bulb.

You can also upgrade the fogs as well, but I don't remember that number off the top of my head, its 810 I think, but don't take my word on it.

If you were looking for projectors or something like that there isn't any sold by aftermarket sellers at this time.

Sylvania Ultras or Silverstars are your best bet. Don't buy the cheap ebay bulbs which are higher wattage, but use colored glass. They may be brighter right in front of your car, but your distant vision suffers.

I bought 6000k HID's for my car as well as 5000k HID's for my dads intrepid and they are amazing.

I would recommend these guys. They used to sell on ebay.

$41 (Special)

I've had Cool Blues on my Chevelle for about 10 years. They are 7" round lights. They aren't used much, but they still work and are bright as heck. I also run Cool Blue capsules on my wife's 04 Monte. I bought then for our 01 Monte, and swapped them into the 04. They have almost 100K mile son them. They are not blue though. Brilliant white, but not as brilliant as Silverstars.

Have you had any problems with HID's requiring more power (upgrade charging system?) or heat stress on the headlight lenses or original headlight wiring?
Thanks.

For the 04+ they are simply plug, play and enjoy.

When you get your package the contents are:

HID Blubs
Ballasts
Wires

And all you have to do to install them is:

1. Take old head lights out
2. Plug wire into old headlight wiring and then into ballast
3. Plug other wire from ballast into HID bulb
4. Put bulb into headlight housing
5. Put housing back on and enjoy!
