The infomation center on the dash is giving wrong day and date. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to correct it?

Owner's Manual?

No infomation in owners manual, but I set the year to 2009 for the right day and date. I really don't feel like bringing car in to dealer for this.

Hi all. Look on page 3-46 of your 2004 owner's manual. It gives you a detailed description on how to change your date, etc. Hope this helps.
If for some reason, that info is omitted from your book, I could spell it out for you. Mario

I have the same problem. The car is going to the dealer on Feb. 2.
Until then, I will set it to 2009, like you did.
I will let you know what the dealer does to fix this problem.

Same problem had to set the date to 2014 to get monday 1 March 04. Will let you know what dealer has to say.

I'd just go to the dealer and not mess around; it won't cost you anything. This should've been set by them before delivering the car to you anyways. They may be able to correct it right on the spot, especially if it's a common problem.

Thanks anyway Adam, but the problem is with the units. Everything worked fine until leap year was factored in. The dealers don't know anything on how to fix the problem.

I would suspect that GM will be coming out with a redesigned one fairly soon then. It sounds like they'll be getting plenty of complaints about this one! Problem is, who knows when it will come out?

well people ...guess what???? the answer was on the news today.. the smart GM team forgot all about the leapyear when they designed the computer. now we just have to sit tight and wait to see what they will do about it. by the way that was on fox news channel. mona
