Well lets see,

I am aware that all vehicles have problems and some may be fixed and some may not...

But I am a bit dissapointed in GM... I have a 30K+ car and it has a lot of problems

- Hamster on Crack in my sunroof/headliner
- Bouncy headlights - if normal it is very annoying
- Front calis may not be tightened correctly
- Creaky-squeek in the dash - around the center speaker area

Not what I would expect form a car of this price.

I've been kind of waiting to see if these kinds of issues started to surface about the new models. The more I hear, the more glad I am that I kept my 2002. Not that it's any better, but it's starting to sound like it's not any worse either!

Yeah, it's true about first-year models, that sometime they're the ones to avoid. I don't think it's a good excuse at all, but it's the one that seems to work to shut most consumers up. No, the car shouldn't have these problems at all, even if it is first year production. Things should be tested thoroughly and problems should be found BEFORE a model is released, but unfortunately that's the way we do things in this country when it comes to manufacturing. The new GP is still a great car, it's just a shame that it was obviously more important to just get it released than get it perfect before it's released. Oh, well...

Well my car isnt a piece of crap first off its worlds better than my old one (personal opinion, i luv this country) On the other hand no I didnt 24hr test drive it i figured the 3 few hour test drives i had not to mention the 5 used cars i took for hours was enough from the dealer. I made them work for there money. hehehe but speaking of 24hr test drive. my friend works at dodge dealership and we are taking brand new dealer plate srt10, 300c and srt4 to the dragstrip tonite hehehehheheheh public advertisement.

I don't think a 24hr test drive would show you the car's flaws right away. I think you have to live with these things for awhile and put some miles on them before anything funny starts to act up. If you figure that most of these designated 24hr cars have only 1000 miles or less on them, I doubt that any problems would be evident that early on.

ANY car, even a Pinto, feels nice when it's new; that's partially the thinking behind the 24hr test drive thing. You could have the most low quality, unreliable car there is (not saying that's what the GP is at all), and it'll still feel nice and tight right off the assembly line. With cars these days, it's more long term rather than initial problems. Remember, GM still scores on top when it comes to initial quality, which basically means how many defects are present right off the line.
