Well guys, it's been great, but I'm afraid I have to leave. I'm trading in my 2004 GTP WS6 for a 2002 Trans AM WS6...

I'm still going to check the forum to help anybody if they need advise, but my 2004 is history frown

You ask why?
Easy: 5.7L 350HP

Sorry to see you go so soon frown ! I didn't even get mine yet! Just curious (no specific #'s, just %; and if it's none of my business tell me to bug off hammer ), how big a hit did the car take from purchase price to resale? confused

I only ask because I've heard of the dramatic depreciation drop off when you pull out of the dealer lot, but never saw a real life example :p

Anyway, enjoy the "original" WS6 thumbsup !

I know that, but why not go straight for the 5.7L and skip the GTP? Guess it doesn't matter now....

I had the GTP Comp G car, and decided to go... yeah, I lost about $10,000 believe it or not... that might be a little extreme, but it was just a little short of $10k. There is a possibility that I might stay with the car for a little while longer because most finance agencies won't finance a car for that much $$ (including the difference in the payoff).

I only wanted more HP. It would be nice to have a 10 second car...

You will definitely take a bath trading the car back in so soon, but if you're not happy with it, then do what makes you happy.

I have a C5 Corvette also and the GTP does not compare to a 5.7 350HP setup, but it is still a great daily driver car with a good amount of power.

If you can afford it, drive both.

Well, here is the verdict... I'm keeping my 04 GP GTP / WS6!!!! WOO HOO crazy

I traded in my 2001 GTP, though... but that's okay... I like the 04. wink

Although my 04 GP is going to be my "winter beater" I'll still be looking to do some stuff to it devilgrin

I only lost $2k with the 01, rather than $10k with the 04... it was well worth it!
