okay...I have a 2006 GP...I kinda thought the plugs and wires would be easy to do...seeing as how somehow GM stuffs a 5.3L in these things...however, I was wrong...2, 4, 6, are being a big PITA, I got 4, and now it's 6 and 2. 6 is almost being blocked by the 02 sensor, it just seems dumb to have to pull that to get the plug out. I did think about loosing up the dog bones and rotating the motor fwd. Is this the right course of action? Any help would be appreciated.

You don't need to pull the O2 sensor out. Yes, pulling the dogbones and rocking the engine forward helps.

On the older models, you can remove a bracket that is just used to lift out the motor. Once that's out, it makes it easier to reach the plug wires.

Be sure to put anti-seize on the plug threads, and put lots of dielectric grease inside the plug boots. Will make the job easier next time.
