Just got back from the dealer. I had already resigned myself to ordering the car either way, and SIAB had just become available! Now we get to be the guinea pigs ! Actually, I do feel better having them; even if there's a problem and they have to be recalled, at least they're there and fixed. Just hope they don't pop open inadvertantly !

Just remembered - artrains' dealer was right - SIAB became available May 1.

Now that they're available. What's the delivery on an order that was placed 2 months ago?

Were you able to place an order? My dealer couldn't even put the order in while the constraint was on.

I've since heard that Pontiac won't be taking the orders until late May, but I'm not sure what it all means :rolleyes:

I was just told by my fleet administrator that the side air bags are further delayed by gm for "quality reasons". ANyone else heard this?

A poster on another forum says that SIAB are on hold until "late September" , so I'm going to go ahead without them after all Oh well, could have ordered the car like it will be on April 1, but you can't cross the water under the bridge until you get to it :p
