Electric superchargers are a joke. They don't do anything, they're just like those performance 'chips' you asked about.

They make real electric superchargers...but you won't find one on ebay, and they are very expensive.

I don't think so.

Have any links or references?

Any 'charge on a car is driven by mechanical means or by gas turbines, not by electricity/battery power.

To make an electric charger feasible would be insane and extremely heavy/bulky. The weight alone would be a good reason not to use one and the power consumption would dictate the use of a high output alternator I would imagine.

I suppose it would be possible, but there are more efficient ways to increase performance on an engine and they're currently in use. If electric chargers were any good you would see them being run on more high profile cars.

Like Arcx, I would love to see any examples if you have them.

.. Wow. I don't know how they eke that much money off people, that's a total scam.

And they even mention the Weapon R intake. This isn't credible at all.

2 PSI of boost? crazy

Like I said earlier, it's very inefficient. I'm sure it would provide some gains, but not like they're talking. Also, for $350 I could put other more meaningful mods on a car.

250 CFM is what our engines need at about 3800 RPM. So after that, the "supercharger" would kill airflow. There is actually an electric supercharger that provides 1 PSI. Basically it overcomes the drop in pressure from air tubing and will help bring cold air to you engine giving a real 5-10 HP. Even teh best factory ram air provides less than .5 PSI. It draws over 800 watts which is almost 60 amps. It only works at WOT and for short bursts. Road racers have found these to be great power adders. They provide

The "e-ram" has been around for a while but Im not sure its worth the $300. How long will the electric motor last I wonder??? For example..If you take the $300 and buy some higher ratio rockers, youll see better gains any rpm range. Specially if you have other supporting mods. Electric superchargers are just not practicle. I bet that if you buy a k&n drop in filter and do a little exhaust work you would surpass their 15 horsepower gain or whatever they claim! Shop zzp and dont waste your money. Here's a link to some rockers just as an example.
