Anybody know if a base sedan (2005) not originally equipped with a Heads Up Display can support a HUD if installed? Where is the wire harness located? Anyone?

When I bought mine, I was told there was "special glass" on the windshield in order to support this feature. I never verified this info however.

I have HUD in my 2004. I was also told when I bought the car that if my windshield needed repaired ensure the shop was aware it needed special glass for the HUD.

Not sure where you would find an after market HUD at a decent price other than the junkyard but you will need the windshield made for the HUD feature. I replaced the winshield on my 1998 GP with HUD and didn't use the HUD designated winshield. The HUD never looked the same again. I gave the car to my daughter who didn't care about HUD and I bought the 04 GT2 with HUD. Sorry I don't know where the wiring harness for it is located.
