I have a 2000 GP GT, i am looking to get some more out of the 3800, i have been looking into cams, but i am affraid of the long term effect of a performance cam. Has anybody installed one and what has been the outcome?

Should be in the 1997-2003 section, but if you get the stage one intense cam it is not drastic over stock long term effects would be minimal......you are replacing worn parts with new parts so........its one of those things.

Same goes for the cams at PFYC.com. Long term is probably no big deal if you ugprade other parts at the same time, which has an additional benefit of freshening the upper end of your engine.
