Do any of you Comp-G owners notice that the engine is sluggish when manually shifting the gears? Kinda like the boost is being bled off to cut down on wear and tear? I will usually drop to third gear to hold it and then when I actually accelerate I will put it in full auto mode. At that point, the boost seems to kick back in. No, it's not because I chose the wrong gear.

More to the point, can this be mechanically or programatically changed?

Sounds like it is time for you to get a new and improved PCM smile

Remember there is a 35% reduction in Torque under heavy acceleration - this may have something to do with what you are saying.

Thanks for the response.

I've never heard of the 35% decrease in torque, but have definitely felt it. Is there a writeup on it somewhere?

The engine is pretty bulletproof, so am I right in concluding that GM is protecting the transmission?

A friend of mine has a Predator for his Trans Am. With any luck, DiabloSport will actually make one of these for the Grand Prix.

While we wait for a PCM/programmer, is there anything that I can do (like remove any boost bleed)?

I do not remember where I read this, I will look for it..

But I do remember it is

6% on 97-03 models
35% on 04 models

I believe this only applies to the SC versions also, but that I am not 100% sure.

They did something to the 04 gt's as well, my car feels like it falls on its face at the top of first and bottom of second. where my old car screemed this one thinks about it, says you know what i dont' think so we will take off how i want to then i get pissed off and hammer
