I am hoping to put mainly performance mods on my GT and am just wondering about wheels. I love the look of a Clean ass Sedan sitting on a perfectly sized set of rims, but I'm still unsure whether or not I want to lower the car, so I was just wondering which rim size is a good one. I hate too large but I also don't like too small, so I was thinking about going with 18s, but I don't want them to look too small, however I don't want to sacrifice performance with 20s. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.

I worked in a tire shop for a few years, and my opinion is that 18s often look better then 20s. Mainly cause you have a bigger selection available in 18s and with 20s the selection tends to be more limited.

20s on a GP could look good, but it will cost ya, and you can still get a damn nice looking car with 18s.

ps: with 20s you would have to go with lower profile tires, and that means a higher chance of bending the rims on pot holes. In other words if you live somewhere that has pot holes here and there that are often hit, then you probably don't want to go higher then 18s.

Go w/ 18"'s 20's look rediculous on GP's IMO. With 18" you can still get a good looking rim, great tire selection, and cheaper price. Plus, your car won't ride like a wagon.

The tire/wheel/brakes combo on the GXP is awesome looking, and they are 18's. Leave the 20's to the Escalades! Just my opinion.

Yeah, thanks guys, I had 20s on my truck but it was a fullsize and they looked good, I hate the look of oversized rims, so I think 18s will probably be better, as well as the ride will be better like you say, thanks guys.

I'd say go with 18s as well. I've seen 20s in some pictures, and they looked way over sized for the car. The rubber appeared to be something like a 1/2inch thick, it looked really bad. Plus, I'm sure that car would ride very bad. 18s look good, plus they shouldn't hurt performance much.
