Hello,

I have had my GTP for almost 7 years now and I am wanting to improvve the performance of my vehicle a bit. The only thing I am concerned about is that no one make any decent performance parts for the GP anymore.

I am looking for some performance increase in the engine, but really want to improve the handling. Any suggestions on both?

Thanks!

How much power are you looking to go for?

How much power? Somewhere around 20-25 horsepower. I just need some simple things and not too complex for power. I definately want better handling and that is probably the tricky one. Thanks!

Well I would say start off with intake. Decide if you want a CAI(Cold Air Intake) or FWI Fenderwell Intake. Then if you want you could get headers or ported manifolds. Also when did you do your last tune up?

Handling im still trying to figure out so hopefully someone will chime in. If no one replies try the 1997 - 2003 section since most people here have that model.

I have heard some mixed reviews on the CAI and FWI. Some say it does only a marginal improvement, while others say it adds an additional 10hp. Which brand of CAI would you suggest? Also, what are some good performance parts for tuning up my 2004 GTP? What kind of plugs? Wires? anything else?

It wont add a great amount of horsepower but having one will help the engine breathe better. The stock air box is restrictive. I use a homemade FWI so I can't really suggest any CAI's. For plugs and wires a lot of people use autolight 104's on a stock gtp and use stock wires.
