I just picked up my new GTP, Comp G, Silver Galaxy, and grille inserts, and chrome exhaust tips. Looks very good! I highly recommend those options.

So what shall I do next?? Considering the aftermarket Dash Kit. Waiting for aftermarket spoilers to appear. The GM SPO aftermarket spoiler is better than the baby changing station that is on there now.... but it is not too exciting. Anything else?

Mike

Might want to at least break it in before you go too crazy. I'm not sure there's too many parts yet available. I'm interested to see some of the hoods that come out. Hopefully they'll be as nice a compliment to the car as the 97-03's.

Check Grandprixstore.com for some 2004 parts. I think they have the most. Although Clubgp is also starting to supply some too.

Good luck with her!

Congratulations! Any chance you could post a photo of the GM grill inserts showing them on the front of the car? I painted the stock inserts on my GS GTP and like that look a lot, but I wonder what the GM inserts look like on the GS car. Thanks! cool

This maybe a stupid question, but I am new to Pontiac as of yesterday. I bought a 2004 GT2. Are the grill inserts, and chrome exhaust tips a dealer only item? My dealer (saleman) seemed uninterested in helping me find these items? Curious on aftermarket parts available, and cost?

Hi there!

I think you all will like the look of these inserts. They are more flush to the bumper than the normal black insert. The chrome exhaust tips are also nice and the delaer installed them because you have to cut the old ones off.

Both of these accessories are listed in the GP pamphlet at the dealership. You do not have to go through the dealership to order these, you can go to GM Parts Direct online and order these as well as the aftermarket spoiler. ( do not have the web address..sorry) I am waiting to see what the final SLP spoiler version will look like before deciding which one to get.

The Inserts were not cheap..around $100
The chrome tips were more. I got everything added into the price of the vehicle so I do not know the actual price.

let me know what you think of the pic....Well....How does one post a picture on here??

The address for GM Parts Direct is:
http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/accessories/frameset3.cfm
Click on Pontiac and follow the menus. The inserts are about $155 from them, $170 at the dealer.

To post a photo it has to be hosted at a web address. There are a lot of photo hosting sites; I often use these guys:
http://www.imagestation.com/mypictures/?signin_cookie_sent=1

Once your photo is hosted ( stored on an on-line accessible computer ) you click on the IMAGE button below the typing panel when you are posting a reply. That asks for the address of your photo. It is really a lot easier than it sounds, just a bit of a hassle the first time....

Here are Mike's inserts, sorry for the delay. If you want the jumbo size picture, email me. Gotta be nice to the dial-up people.

Hi,

I'm new to the site. I picked up my Galaxy Silver 2004 GTP Comp G last evening Car came loaded except no XM radio in Canada. I did not get any of the dealer installed options either.
Taking back my 2001 Black Intrepid RT today. Great car but I am looking forward to greater low end torque, something the R/T is terribly missing.
I'll be interested to read everything about the GTP on this site.
