Hi, I have the compG package and would recommend it if you have the extra cash. The red caliber brakes look cool and the tap shift is fun to play with especially if you're riding on a twisty road.
The bigger wheels and tires are a plus as with the stability control. But I have heard that the compG's ride is alittle more firmer than one without it. If you like the cushier ride feel, you might want to do without it. You can't go wrong either way. Get one, you won't be disappointed.

Yes, I'd say get the Comp if you can afford it. Tap Shift and better axle ratio are worth it right there. The only negative thing is that Corvette was presented the Tap Shift system, but they declined it, saying they're "gonna wait till they get it right." Not sure what that means, so we'll see. Possible reliability problems?

Probably they are waiting for an SMG style electronically actuated manual with clutch, as opposed to "manumatic" type automatic.

cheers

Yeah, I would seem to think so, kinda like F1 cars. That would actually be worth paying for, if they did it right, and wasn't too expensive. It doesn't seem to be on the 05 Vettes yet though, so we'll see what happens.
