whats up with the acre of chrome reflectors on the new GTO's? since they have HID headlight bulbs that are about 2" dia. why the hell do they need 5" high beam reflectors and those stupid fog lights? I guess GM still believes that more flash is better on the fascia's of cars. maybe the HID bulbs aren't that good. I just like a more minimal approach.

Maybe im wrong, but i don't think any pontiac branded vehicle has actual HID headlights? I can find nothing that supports that any of them do. All companies that do offer this on there cars put it out load that they do offer this option.

I have been eyeballing lots of new cars lately. almost no domestic cars have HID. the caddy seville does. the chrysler concorde/LHS had them in 2001-2003? as an option. I just think having such a small bulb would allow you to have a less cluttered front end.

The GTO does not have HID lights. PFYC picked up a GTO in January (watch for a lot of cool product soon) and one of the first things I looked at when we took delivery was the headlights. Much to my dismay, no HID frown

so what kind of low beam headlights does the GTO have? the low beams are different than the high beams. the hi beam is a reflector. the low beam looks like a mini-bulb/spotlight. I know it is different than other GM headlights. it looks darn close to what the newer sevilles have. I'm no EE but I would like to know.

Just a standard high beam low beam 9005 9006 respectively. The low beem looks like it has a shield over it just like almost all others. big headlights are cool. not cluttered. Idea of small headlights not looking good is that one jaquar xj something just looks disproportionate.

I think they're called projector beam headlights.

Prjectors are not optioned on the the GTO. They are not available. If you look at a toyota celica they have projectors as there low beam. These are also available via many after market manufactures as i think the Specter werks are for teh c5 via the pfyc website.
