WHY2 crazy saw your comment on the insurance. I have found that smaller economy cars are generally more expensive on insurance than a bigger safer that may cost more. But that is what i have noticed from me quoting insurance.

My comment on insurance rates are from a few guys on the GTO list who have 04s and have already asked their insurance companies about rates for the 05s. Most insurers stated that it would most likely be higher for the newer car with more HP.
it was a comparison between the 04 and 05 not small car vs big car. Unless yo umeant something else.

speaking of insurance. If I bought an 04 GTO, my insurance would increase $700 a year over my GTP. Time to find a better company I say.

Well my insurance is about 1100 a year for my car. Full coverage 100 deductible no deductilbe if i hit a animal or anything considered comprehensive. I found i could save a lot by increasing my deductibles but havent yet.

What I was comparing to for insurance when i was serious about the Neon SRT4 my insurance was gonna go up 20 a month. But when i looked into gtps 04's it was only like 5 bucks a month becuase of side air bags? I havent priced any other cars lately but in the next couple weeks im going to louisville to test drive a Acura TSX. Its barely smaller than the GP all the way around and it has a 6spd w/ navi.....well see how that turns out.

my current company puts huge surcharges on "mid level perf" cars like the GTP simply because it has a supercharger. They charge a 70yr old man with a buick regal GS the same as they charge me and Im 37.

The GTO is "high perf" car so my insurance would top out at $1900 a year. Granted I have very high limits and I drive 30k a year but I expected some sort of break for not being 16. LoL
