Man,

I don't know if its a typo or not but I just noticed the weight on the Holden Coupe is 3615lbs!

That is a pretty crazy amount of weight for a coupe with an aluminum V8. eek

No wonder then that the Holden they tested only pulled 14.9 (well prolly 15.0 - 15.1 given the 400m vs 1/4 mile difference).

Thats on the highside of GTPs right now. I hope that was just due to high temps because that is waaaaaay off of any corvette numbers I've seen.

And if thats the case then GM certainly doesn't have to worry about the Goat taking away Corvette sales at all. Even with a V8 it's still a second or two behind a regular C5.

I guess we'll see! crazy

I would also bet that the rear end gearing is alot more highway friendly in the GTO too. Plus its 50 less HP and the Corvette weighs in at about 3200#
