But before any of you non believers chime in READ the post all the way not just the numbers!

I pulled a 14.3 @ 97 mph
2.4 60' Taking it very easy. I launched from Idle. No tire warm. Skipped the water. 30PSI in the rear tires, 35 in the front. TC off. All electronics off. I took-off in a mild acceleration - a smooth even pressure.. not flooring it.

I am 100% sure I could have ran a 13.7-13.8 but Just did not want to make the 3rd run. I will take another run next spring. When I get a few more miles and more used to the car.

The car behaves a bit different than my 1999 Vette Converty (ran a best of 13.4 bone stock with the AC on -- Do not ask!)

And for the record my car is bone stock. And is the A4.

AND FOR THOSE "OTHER GUYS" who join this list just to get the skinny on the GTO... do not expect to beat me at a redlight... the track is waaaaayyyyy different

shit even just improving your 60' time youd be down near 13.5. Once the motor gets broken in and you can hammer hammer
and get a few basic mods under it you will be fine.

Once you've broken her in and do a little track prep i'm sure you'll be a easy mid 13's ,your right about stoplight to stoplight racing the lsi has a wide power range and would be hard to beat.I'm glad to see you posting real times,I see a few guy's posting times in their sig's that seem suspect.

From what I understand, LS1 engines will actually gain power once they are "broken in" at around 20-25K miles or so...even better! I personally just think the LS1 is a good looking motor. I have heard a few writers in magazines criticize it for being too plain but I think it looks sweet.

"Plain" is good! Its the plain motors that last the longest as there are less parts to go bad. You don't hear much of old Corvette motors going bad. Given some are babied but others are driven with a vengence.

Plus the potential of these motors is rediculous.
Supercharged GTO anyone? cheers
