At first I thought, nice, then I read its been highly modified.
Low miles, but for him not knowing much about them and this being so modified, I hate for him to get it and something break.

Yeah, I agree about it is little high. I checked KBB. It should be $7,995. Of course I add "special edition". It is little extra $2000. I'm pretty sure it is "mod" money.

that is a sharp car man, just look at the pully size and make sure he dident throw on a 3.0 or some crazyness and do a carfax report and you should be golden.

No, that's real slpgen2. All special edition (red, silver, and black) have that spoiler.

There is other 40th anniv. (purple) have that spoiler.

There is other 2000 Daytona 500 have that spoiler.

NO! that is NOT the slp Gen 2!!!! That is the special edition spoiler that bolts to the EDGE of the trunk which requires COMPLETELY different bolt holes!

The SLP Gen 2 uses the stock bolt holes but sits back a little bit.

I'm confused. What is name of Pontiac spoiler for 40th anniv., Special edition and Daytona 500? I thought it was called SLPGEN2?

Aftermarket spoiler which it is called SLPGEN2 that cover factory stock spoiler.

This one you are looking from link is aftermarket SLPGEN2 which it is cover the hole from factory stock spoiler.

I have real SLPGEN2 or whatever is call that lend on trunk without factory spoiler holes.

Lot of people don't want buy real spoiler because they don't want to "shave" the trunk lid holes where factory spoiler is. Almost all of them buy aftermarket spoilers.

lol patrick, the only REAL SLP GEN 2 is the ACTUAL SLP GEN 2.

the spoiler that you have is just the special edition spoiler.

ALL SLP spoilers were aftermarket, therefor have their OWN names. They did not come stock on ANY of the Grand Prixs.

The Daytona Spoiler is the SAME spoiler that is on the special editions.

They do however make a DIFFERENT spoiler for the LIMITED Editions. Those spoilers stand on little "pedestals" and are EXTREMELY rare!

The after market spoilers that are out are as follows:

SD(which palsut and myself currently have)


SLP Gen 1 (which Rshutchinson will be installing)


SLP Gen 2(which is the one that you want Mac)

the difference between the SD and the SLP Gen 1 is that the SD extends further towards the back of the trunk(close to the rear window) and it has very distinct hard edged edges. Where as the SLP Gen 1 has a unique styled curviture and ONLY goes as far as the stock holes did.

The SD requires that you drill 2 extra holes but I have not drilled them and do not plan on it, unless it begins to warp for some strang reason.

I would trade him trunklid/spoilers if he got that car. He would never know

There was a red limited edition in my neighborhood for a little while, but then he hit a deer I think. It was in bad shape.

The limited edition spoiler is far and away my favorite.

I'm sorry 9.9k for an eight year old GP no thanks.
