I am picking up a tuner, and he wants to know if i would like to buy a brand new aem wideband o2 in the box for an extra 200 is it worth it ?

tuning without a wideband a shot in the dark. Its worth it if you can afford it

I would say so. The wideband is essential for tuning anything above half throttle.

Also think about data logging. If the tuner you're getting is a powertuner, does it have analog inputs on it? (green block with 4 screws on the side) If so, you can connect the wideband 0-5 volt output to the powertuner... its a bit tricky to set up, though. Some widebands will hook up to a serial or usb port on a laptop, in which case you might not be able to record it while scanning from the tuner (and even if you could, the data wouldn't be together, it would be 2 seperate files). If none of the above, a gauge to look at works okay.

Or you can setup it up like i have it through the EGR volt, but that means EGR is disabled.

200 is a little overpriced but not too bad. I picked up an LC-1 for about 120.

x2 ? yeah i dont think it has the imports on the side ? i guess i should try and pick it up because otherwise like you guys say its a shot in the dark, i can tune with my gt mess around with some things get familiar with everything, and then when its time when i get SC'd i will have it all down or down for the most part
