We should have a secret forum section for those of us with over 1000 posts laugh

I've always like forums; you learn so much. I used to be on a studio recording / equipment, etc forum but started to get bored with that and gpnet pretty much took its place. Theres only so many times you can say "this microphone sucks" and "buy _____ for this application".

My son is a Star Wars geek for sure and he has several of those "force effects" lightsabers which we have been known to spar with on frequent occasion. I think I can hold my own long enough for the other fellas to get the branding done. laugh

I'm putting a 3.0 pulley on my GTP for cheap boost.

Do Mustang rims fit?

Are everyone else's headlights foggy?

How do I build a better mousetrap?

I am getting like 50 mpg what is everyone else getting? Lol, no way, 2fast4u is getting 9 mpg. I hit some love bugs and I get 50!

By the way, the MAGIC ERASER did wonders, no real big scrubbing. Plus it helps to have some wax on there before they hit the car!

Maybe there is a Grand Prix moving close to your home town and it may just roll down the street right in to your driveway! Then you'll have to take it.

One will eventually take pity on him and follow him home...

He'll push it back in the street and say "shoo!", but it'll roll right back in and beg to stay... =)

LOL, the opposite of the dog seeking pity: the dog (or GP, if you prefer) takes pity on the human, and begs to stay. "Promise, Bryant, I'll cure that penchant of yours for rice. Promise I will."

All you guys are horrible.

You could consider my Honda to be rice, but that insinuates that it's slow. 370lbs with 130 horsepower isn't too slow. Just think, I could have bought a Harley that weighs 500+lbs with 75 horsepower (and leaks oil). Or a single cylinder Buell. I'll pass.

keep on justifying rice. rice doesnt HAFTA be slow. Its still rice. Take a Spoon mill and throw it in a Stang or Vette or something, and that makes the American car rice.

Either way, you still rice. Ricer. You're ricer-ific.

Nothin but love, Bryant.

you know its getting bad when even the smileys have cars...and just my2 cents here but I dont consider sport bikes ricers. I know theyre Japanese but a Honda Goldwing is still a Honda and I wouldnt consider that rice. I know the Harley guys have called Japanese bikes rice burners for years...but bikes like Bryants I call crotch rockets...mostly because they are insanely fast and I know I aint got the cajones to ride one of them...Ducatis are Italian (pasta burner?) and I wouldnt get on one of those either. I think maybe you gotta be a little crazy to own one of them to begin with laugh (based on the way I've seen most of them ridden)...maybe the GP ran away in fear? cool

I think most sport bike riders are a little crazy. If you can be responsible, they're only as dangerous as you ride them.

In reality, motorcycles are only as dangerous as the stupid drivers on the roads.

When I rode a crotch rocket, I was proud when Harley riders called it a "Rice Burner". I would always reply back "Yeah, and it burns the sh!t out of that rice too. What does yours do... burn oil, or leak it?".

I have a colleague with a 2004 Harley Sportster. It's already leaking oil.

this is what i like ... i went to the local harley shop and they sell suzuki bikes there ... and you can get just as much bike as a harley for 1/2 the cost ... i saw a 40,000 harley fatboy and then there was a suzuki bike just as big and just as nice for about 13,000 they were brand new yes i know you pay for the name and stuff ...

but i would like to get a bike to help out with some gas milage when i travel across town and short trips out of town

To help out out on gas? If you pay a month for the bike and some liability insurance than that may be more than just putting in gas in your ride, no? Same thing with Hybrids. In the very long run you'll win verse gas prices, but to drop a monthly payment or drop down payment for a hybrid vehicle to beat gas, isn't worth it until gas is like over $5 gal, I think.

There was an article about a year ago that compared a Honda Civic to a Toyota Prius. If you drive the average 12k miles per year, it would take almost 12 years to justify the additional cost of the Prius.

The motorcycle though, if you get a cheap Honda, or something else that will run forever, you can make out like a bandit. My old CBR600F2 has 25k miles, been totaled, and never broken down in the 7 years its been in my family. The insurance (w/ collision) is $300 a year. It gets 45 mpg.

Don't you have to change the batteries in the Prius something like every 5 years, at a cost of around $30k?

Austin, something like that. But Toyota picks up the tab on the first battery change, after that it's yours.

30k??? That is absolutely unreasonable. I'll just stick to my 18-20 mpg XP'd/SC'd Daily Driver.

The Prius battery is around $3-5k. It should last close to 160k miles. There are reports of them lasting between 100k and 200k miles on average.

The Escape Hybrid has a battery costing $7200!

NO WONDER! If I post one time or five times on the same topic, my post count stays at whatever number it is at on that post. I should be at like 2500 by now, but my posts stay stagnant.

Just think I am an idiot now. If I post a new post, then all the other posts go up to the highest post count. So if I look back at an old post say 746, it will actually say 993. Right?

I believe it! I became a member on April 13, 2006, Drummer April 30, 2006. I see him on here a lot, don't get me wrong. But I feel I am on this thing more than I breathe air during the day. I post more than a whore. His 1775 to my 995 is disproportionate. That's my rant for today!

Yeah, but you never posted for the first six months. I registered the same month as you... but never remember reading any posts from or by you until December-ish of this past year. I've been posting consistently since day one! And I get on here at least 5 times per day, especially now that school is out, and I have more time!

I guess I'm just a posting fool, which is one step above post-whore! crazy

haha. yeah I do most of my work on or by a computer so I stop in quite often. I make rounds on clubxx too, but its impossible to keep up on it like you can with gpnet, not to mention the incredible lack of respect and straight-forward information. classifieds are the only good thing over there. and sometimes to try to get an answer to strange questions.

drummerboy is a gpnet machine.
