Who'll be going? I'm planning on going this time. Should have my car ready by then, I've got over a month. wink I'm thinking about making it a Sat-Sun thing, so if anyone wants to hang out on Sunday, I'll probably be game.

It always hurts now when I see this post go up...having been once really puts the bug in you to go back again...and I will make it back again for sure...just dont know when at this point.

If you havent been to this you owe it to yourself to try it just once...driving on the big track is a very cool experience.

I know its long way for many of you but I'd love to see a bunch of you at Carlisle next summer...a large GPnet/ClubGP contingent to offset the throngs of Camaros would be great.

Carlisle is just south of Harrisburg PA. it should be at the end of June next year and its the whole weekend. Friday and Saturday, Sunday is for awards. we had a couple people from NC come up, and the one guy won first in our class.. We usually find a cheap hotel near by and party all night...

I don't think I'll be able to make that one. I'm just going to work on doing the next Laps for Charity.

i cant wait for next year, there was a gp there some old guy only did slp upgrades so depending on the competition he could say he was either stock or modified. well for awhile he always won then last year he placed second and this year he left early sun when he found out he didnt place at all. MACGP's goal from now on if he shows up again to keep pissing him off lol... oh and we need more GP's it would be nice to get at least 20 or 30. So tim bring some people from there up pick up bob, jon, tim, corey if the car is running, and steve. I'm working on getting some of my JSCGP friends to show up.

Well I'm too old for the party all night thing (yes I said it..too old)...plus if I come next year I'll probably have the wife along, so we'll be little low key.

But party animal or no, just making the event is great all on its own...I'm sure there will be many sweet rides and the countryside around Carlisle has some great cruising roads and lots of spots that would make great backdrops for photos...plenty of eateries and such nearby as well.

As much as I want to see this come together I cant deny that I want to take the T-Bat around the big track again...man I wish they did laps for charity at Indy...a pic of the T-Bat on "the bricks" would be hallowed ground.

Hey T-bad, how about if you come to TMS in May, I'll come see you at Carlisle? lol

Seriously, though, I may have to get a couple guys together and make that road trip...it'd be worth it, me thinks.

Heh, Carlisle if I made it... Load of GP's and one G35. But they'd all be G's smile

Ace: not sure if I'll make it up to TMS or not... Depends on if I get paid or not among other things. Something went screwy with my Direct Deposit and my paycheck has gone missing. eek

your paycheck missing is a BAD thing eek

you could bring the "G" but you couldnt get on the showfield since it isnt a GM ride (sorry frown )...but we'd still be happy to have you for the cruise outside the fairgrounds and you could ride in with us thumbsup

Carlisle next June... Hmmm, maybe... just maybe.
I'll have to see how things go from now to then.
Since the wife lost her cushy job in the mortgage industry last year, our income has taken a sizable hit. She's decided to be a teacher and well, a teachers salary isn't anything near what she was making when she was doing wholesale mortgage so funds will definitely be an issue.
I'll keep Carlisle on my agenda and I'll see if I'll be able to swing anything.
I am due for a vacation for myself.

If you decide to go, lemme know, I'm definitely interested. Maybe we could split some of the costs some how.

Teachers are one of several jobs (such as cops and military) that are grossly underpaid, especially considering what they have to put up with.

There is a possibility that I may be changing jobs myself after the first of the year, so I'll have to see how time availability goes but I've got it marked on the calendar (will have to add it to the upcoming GP calendar as well!)
