My 98 Chevy truck with the 5.7L doesn't want to give power to the fuel pump. Changed the pump, relay and PCM. All fuses looks good. Book said if now power to the relay then the PCM is bad that's why I swapped it. Anyone have any ideas?

IIRC on some GMs, the low oil pressure switch has something to do with fuel pump power, so if you lose oil pressure the fuel pump shuts down.

Thanks I have those.

Problem solved.

ECM-B fuse was blown.

After I cooled off and relaxed went back to the truck started from scratch and pulled every fuse and found the ECMB fuse had blown.

Truck runs good again.

Tomarrow I'm going to put new shocks on while the bed is off. Much easier then climbing under the truck.

The Vortecs do that but I wasn't even getting power for the pump to prime. But I solved my problem.

I probably didn't need the new PCM but I got one from Black Bear Performance. It's a tune similar to ZZPs off the shelf tune. It was much cheaper then a standard tune from the dealer.

Can't wait till I get it on the road and test out how much torque management was removed and shift firmness was added. I had them set the speed limiter from 94 to 115 just incase I ever wanted to go to the track.

Later on if I really want to get crazy Black Bear will mail me a data logging cable so I can run the truck mail them the cable and computer files and they'll retune the PCM to exactly what's needed. No need to go to CA for them to custom tune like ZZP requires.

Got the truck all back together.

Man what a difference. Took her for a test drive and she feels like a whole new truck. I'm happy with the generic tune I wonder how much more she'll wake up with a custom tune and some headers.
