I don't know what the draw is to the Silvias and Skylines. Other then the right hand drive jap car theme. For the cash I'd take a late model six speed F body in stock form and use the left over cash for mods and use the imports as whipping boys. Also from doing research in the past the price seems to bit a bit low. With import fees, mods to be street legal in the states etc the price usually ends up to be around 40k and up.

Actually its about inline. The silvia isnt a real expensive car. A guy I know had a RHD ITR for a while he went through all the processes of importing it drove it for a while and got tired of it. He spent about 12k i think. Now a skyline would run about 80 90 for a R34.

The drawer for me is not teh RHD. Its the sexy outside. No american car has the style that this car does. Its just different. Not saying its better looking just the cues it has are unmistakabley different.

Bah. Don't like them foreign cars. If I'm going to spend my money on a stylish car I'ld rather get an old car. Like a 70 Chevelle or a 65 Stang. Or I could just go all out and get a 67 Corvette L88. devilgrin

If I had the big bucks to spend I would want a one-off custom...either doing something radical to the car I have or restoring an older model ride with lots of new model upgrades...did anyone see the episode of "Rides" where the Cali shop called Pure Vision built the 69 Plymouth Road Runner/ GTX they called "Hammer"?...now thats my kind of musclecar!...or Troy Trepanier's "Sick Fish"!

The original car is a Chevrolet Biscayne.
Troy's car is known as the Chicayne.
