Wrong forum, lol, but we need those in my town...no one goes the speed limit. I rarely have any room to let my horses gallop, and I always wind up in a bad mood. I'm sick and tired of people rolling through stop signs when they see you coming, like they're in a hurry, only to go about 15 mph slower than I already was. Or all these d*** left-lane no-brain people who don't realize it's supposed to be the faster lane. And no one signals anymore...

Sorry, I'll stop, I could rant for an hours about the idiots in this town. I don't know how the cops write any speeding tickets...no one even goes the speed limit, much less faster! mad banghead

I've actually seen one of those at the end of a long construction site.

I think that would be a good sign to put on some of the onramps in Dallas. People don't accelerate fast enough to get on the highway, so by the time they get there, they are doing 20 under the speedlimit, and cause traffic when they hop on the actual highway. The average driver drives me crazy..

on and off ramps are my pet peeve...its called an acceleration lane for a reason. These idiots that come up to the end of an on ramp and come to dead halt, and then wait for a clearing to China before they move! ARGH!...geez, you would need a top fuel dragster to merge into traffic like that...to quote Tom Hanks from "Dragnet"

"C'mon Friday, its the skinny pedal on the right, live a little!"

I wont elaborate any farther on those that stop dead at the end of the off ramp (when they have the right of way) and send cars screeching to a stop behind them.

on topic with the sign...I cant count how many times I've been in a traffic back-up because an accident occurred in the opposite lane of travel and people slow down to a crawl just so they can rubberneck.

I've said it before, i wish it were as difficult to get drivers license as it is to get a pilots license...nothing would make our roads safer than better trained drivers.

Speaking of stops at end on ramps, when I was in California this summer, LA area, many of the on ramps had Signal lights, so you could only go if it were green. I never saw that before.

Phoenix has those lights, too. it helps assure that one driver thats already on the highway wont hafta slam brakes to let 2 or more others in. it helps create a smoother "zipper" effect.
