Well i dremeled the endds of the tips last summer. Ill post pictures later tonight....

And Theyre not 100% all silver.
I wiped them down yesterday with some metal polish which took alot of junk off from exhuast and the winter.

But theres still dark spots, I think its indented meaning i did not dremel too well.

So heres my 2 qeustions.

1. Even if you cut too deep on the, will they still show a silver surface, or once you go too deep is it stuck with the brown color?

2. Doesn anyone remember where that thread was on polishing exhaust tips, whoever that was who got the suckers to shine like a mirror?

Edit: Assuming they are stock tips on a '97-'03 Grand Prix.

#1.... They are pure alloy. You can cut them all the way to the end and they will still polish up.

They are very vulnerable to corrosion. If they see a lot of drive time you will need to treat them the same way you do your paint.

I polished mine once. It lasted about a month then they were back to dull. If you really want to polish them up to a chrome type finish besure to put a clear coat over it cause it will dull out rather fast.
