ok so i went to the fridge and i wondered something as i was standing there staring at the contents of the fridge, why does katchup seperate? like why do you allways have to shake it before useing or you get that nasty watery junk before the good stuff

It's likely some sort of preservative or oil that is less viscous than the rest and hence floats at the top after it seperates.

but see, if you dont do what you're supposed to, do you not ruin an otherwise perfectly good sandwich? So why not follow advice and instructions so that your next sandwich can be a veritable portion of Nirvana? Hmmmm?
