Friday night we hit the road for sunny (I hope ) Florida and out to Key West. This is our yearly "honeymoon" vacation and we're looking forward to it in a big way. St Augustine, Daytona, Kennedy Space Center, Miami, Key West, Sanibel Island, Clearwater and Honeymoon Island are all on the list (oh yeah, Everglades Park as well)...dont know if we'll squeeze it all in but we'll see.
We'll be taking the Cruiser and hoping for plenty of "top down" weather. I'm quite sure there will be plenty of pics when we get back unfortunately for the board, none of the GP.

When are you gonna be in Sanibel? I am moving back home for the summer as classes let out, but I will be in Ft. Myers (10 minutes from Sanibel) until Wednesday, then I go back to Bradenton.

lol make sure you go over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge connecting to Bradenton! MAN, that bridge is HUGE!!! I was by fort de soto on monday and dang that bridge is GINORMOUS!! haha

Key West is fun, but it gets old on day three. I was there for two weeks a few years back for some Training Maneuvers on the Naval Station. If your wife is game, Check out Teasers. BEST gentlemen's Club I've ever been to. Best looking ladies, I mean, 90% were drop dead gorgeous, the rest were at least a 7 out of 10. Good drink & dance prices.

As you travel South on Truman, make sure you turn right on Duval, left is the "Alternative lifestyle" area or it used to be. Sloppy Joes and Hog's Breath were a lot of fun. Sloppy Joes always had great bands starting at lunchtime up to 4am.

Don't buy any Key Lime Juice down on Duval Street, find a grocery store, it will be at least 1/2 price.

Hey guys...not wanting anyone to think I was blowing you off. I had already made plans to hook up with some of the PT Cruiser Crew in Jacksonville and my wife has some online friends we are supposed to meet for dinner in Miami, so things just started to feel like we were crowding...we both correspond with so many folks we could fill the week doing mini-meets. The Daytona stop may wind up getting skipped in favor of time for the Kennedy Space Center and since we have reservations in Key West so we dont want to get too far outside of our plans.

Ultimately what I'd like to do is come back another time, maybe for the Rolex 24 or down to Sebring for the 12hour race...then maybe we could get a bunch of us together and I'll have the GP.

I was also considering (if I can scrape the money) coming back during a vacation I have in July. The Richard Petty Driving experience will be at Daytona that week and that would be a great backdrop for a meet.
Thanks for everyones input but since we dont have a laptop we may well be "unplugged" for most of the week, so any further exchange of info will be tough since we are packing and prepping as we speak. I'll post up from a hotel that has a public PC (if they have one)...if not I'll post back up in about 10 days.

i really wanna go over it, i never got the chance though.

Yeah, the ship smashed the first one a while ago, but the second Skyway Bridge has had a lot of issues with the pilings. They are hollow, and that has allowed the salt water to eat away at the inside of the pillars.
