80%.

I think it's stupid that I got dinged so badly for never haven driving a motorcycle or truck. Why does it matter? If my primary vehicle is my car and that's all I drive and I obey the laws, then why should that count against me?

I just thought that question was dumb. The rest were valid.

You're kind of contradicting yourself there. Talking on the phone can be just as dangerous as texting. Either way you have one less hand to control the vehicle and your mind is partly focusing on something besides driving. I can see where you're coming from if people are looking at their phones while texting and not on the road but if they stay focused on the road it's the same as talking on the phone.

I have my keyboard memorized on my phone so I can keep my eyes on the road if I'm doing it and I actually feel more focused as a driver while texting than I do talking on the phone. When you're on the phone you're actually talking and I feel that's a bigger distraction and takes more focus than to text when you're actually not saying anything aloud and just typing what's in your head.

I don't know if that makes sense at all but it's just how I feel about it.

I agree with you. I don't see myself driving 18 wheels truck. Also, I'm deaf. It is dangerous to drive motorcycle for me. I love motorcycle but my family want me safe so I respect that. I bet I might get like 95% if it wasn't stupid 18 wheels truck or motorcycle question.

74%.....
1 ticket for "improper overtaking of a left-hand turn over a safety zone" didn't help me

I crossed over the yellow lines a little early to get into the left turn lane, and the police officer obviously didn't get any the night before or something, I wasn't speeding, have no record at all, and he gave me my license and ticket and pretty much stormed off like the coffee shop was running out of donuts.
I'm not hating on all officers, my cousin is a damn good one, but this guy was a huge INSERT EXPLECTIVE HERE

Key word was briefly. Literally just long enough to make sure it's not an emergency call and then tell them I'm driving.

And I keep my phone between my legs and not in my pocket or anything, so it's right in hands reach.

Having experience with other forms of vehicles gives you a better insite to what they are capable of and what they can't see etc so subconsciencely when you drive your car you are more careful around those other types of vehicles.

As for texting while driving being "safe" then talking I call BS!!!!!!! You can think what you want but if your distracted just talking then texting is even more distracting cause even if you have the keyboard memorized your mind is more intune with what your fingers are doing on the phone then what your vehicle is doing on the road.

NO TEXT IS SO IMPORTANT IT CANT WAIT TILL YOU PARK THE CAR!!!!!!! If you friends don't understand that then they are no friend of yours.

Just think people got along just fine for dang near 90 years without having a phone stuck to their ear.

Yeah, since I'm deaf. I don't use cellphone. I do have pager. I can't type this keyboard during driving. If it is important message then I will pull it over and send this message.

My dad is 70 years old. He never own cellphone. He never got any accident over 25+ years until last month he got pass out during driving itself. He kind wish his streak is going stronger.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that.

I've never driven a motorcycle but I know what they are capable of, and I give them proper space and drive differently around them.

Similarly, I've driven SUVs and pickups and I did not "learn" anything new by driving them.

I certainly learned better driving finesse by driving semis and large vans. If I ever cared to, I KNOW I can drive a limo. I tend to enjoy spirited driving a little more.

I scored 85%...I'm sure the one accident I had at 17 that was my fault is what knocked me down.

Well I still feel more alert while texting for whatever reason but I almost never do it while driving. I usually only do it when I am stopped at a light, if the light turns green and I'm not done then whoever is waiting on the other end for a text will have to wait until I get another red light.
