Whoa, this is weird.

I'm trying to change the email that this Arcxnus account is registered to and it's saying I can't because the email I'm changing it to has been banned? kooky

I JUST got this new email address so unless you guys are amazing stalkers, I'm guessing this is a bug in the system?

Wow, Arc, long time no see!

Just out of curiosity, I tried to change mine to a G-Mail account that I don't really use any more, and it said mine was banned as well. Could it be because of the...uh...I don't know what it's called, but because it's GMail or something?

Does anyone have a second E-Mail they could try to switch it to, that isn't G-Mail?

Thats weird cuz I changed mine from yahoo to Gmail and had no issues at all. Although Imust admit I may change it back because I'm getting the email notifications on Gmail usually a day late.

More like TOO POOR. D:

Man I haven't had money for anything. It's a wonder I still have the GTP and that it hasn't turned to a pile of slag. Today was the first day I've put on a hand on anything other than the steering wheel and it was pretty depressing to see how dirty and ill-kept it is. Wheel bearing went bad some time ago but I haven't even had the money to fix something as simple as that.

Also come to find out, retarded dealership tech didn't tighten some bolts on the front end of the frame down after doing the transmission work oh so long ago so one of them fell out and the other was loose. Don't even know how long its been like that. Pretty scary. I'm not driving it after finding that, it's down at my dad's shop while I drive a company truck.

I noticed the price of some parts has come down a bit from over a year ago. Wheel bearings only 120USD when they used to be pushing 200. That's nice. New rotor, 26 bucks. Wow. Haha. Good thing I'm killing myself on two jobs now, I should have the money for this again.

But yeah to be honest, I'm far from being 'too good', lol. If a crusty car with bird poop all over it and major problems is too good here, I think you guys are in trouble.

I have so much stuff sitting in boxes in the garage. I don't care though. I've got car rabies, I'll bite someone before I give up this stuff.

Besides, the actual engine and trans 'n shiz is a-okay. It's just my wheels are threatening to fall off and the guts were on the verge of tumbling out the bottom.

SHOULD BE GOOD TO GO THOUGH. Well, once it gets all bolted back together and nothing else comes up. Then it will just need the detail its needed for two years.

CHEERS DUDES.

Good to see from ya, Arc. Slick's been telling me about your car here and there. Here soon I'm gonna have some time off. If you want, I'm willing to head out that way with Slick and get your chariot back into the arena.

Take care.

It really needs a wash more than anything now. ALL FIXED. Thankfully no permanent damage seems to have been done. It's weird to have a car that drives correctly now. I'm used to it driving as badly as it looks.

Man these have been some dark days. Hard to believe all I need to do now is throw some soap on it and it will be the car I remember actually enjoying rather than dreading.

OH MAN IT'S RICK. How've you been? laugh I'd love to meet up with you guys, even if it's just to shoot the shiz. Maybe we can figure out something to do while we're all in one place. Not a whole lot around here, so if you guys wanna meet somewhere more interesting and make a day of it, I'm all for it. Lord knows I could use some time to do something I want to do and have actual fun without having to worry about stuff.

Any ideas?

Sure, you, Slick, and Ace head out to Lufkin. THAT would be nice. Introduce you and the other Jon to my wife and kids. You still have my cell? gimme a call and we'll try to arrange something.

Hey, Houston, y'all down for a mini-meet? Who knows, we might even be able to get Bobby out this way, that old fuddy-duddy.

Glad to see you finally get your car back to a workable maintenance level.

D: .. Can't sleep? Or too much to do and not enough time to do it?

I know how that feels. smirk .. Hope it gets back to normal for you, sleep deprivation can make things pretty gnarly.

I say .. things .. I guess. I lack tact at times. :s That's all, I suppose. NOW OFF TO MCGREGOR~

That would be my vote as there's quite a bit around here in addition to a garage if we want to wrench and the 360 should the gamers in us get a twinge.

I was also exploring the area north of here for good cruise routes and you don't have to go too far before hitting no man's land.

All depends on what we want to do. If anyone else has suggestions I'm game.

T-M-S is telling me absolutely nothing new :p

been there - done that - had a blast and got the pics to prove it (although I am still lacking a video someone took and a disc of pics someone promised me)

But as I said in my report post oh so long ago...

"The Lone Star state has not seen the last of me and the Thunderbat!"

If money were no object (HA! aint hat always the dream) then I would be back in September this year since I do have a vacation and I would be sporting 300 ponies of pressurized 3.8 under my ram air hood. (gimme that late night hot lappin one more time!) devilgrin

Arc, I've just had a couple of rough days work-wise. I get to sleep in tomorrow. Then get up really early Thursday to do a tune up on my car. laugh

Guys (and Arc), just don't plan anything between the 19th & 21st. I will be in Corpus Christi. lol

And I doubt I'll be around for TMS myself. If I am, then I wont be able to take leave during that time, and I dont see me qualifying for a weekend pass.

John, thanks for the agreement for your help and facilities yet again. I'll be giving you a call tomorrow one way or the other.

John, cant charge me for breaking and entering if the door is unlocked, and you left an open invitation...plus, it wont take the cops too long to hunt me down, I'll be in the garage wrenching.

there was a chain email floating around a few years back describing friends and good friends. A friend will lecture you away from or because of a really stupid stunt you had pulled. A good friend will be in the jail cell with you sayin "That was a effin blast, wasnt it?"

The GTP stands no chance against Shianne, and Diva, yeah...she sure sounds sexy, but that's a lot like Britanny Spears once upon a time: Seems like a keeper, until yo usee what she's REALLY like. Kind of appropriate, seeing as how Spears is a Diva, too. F-BODIES RULE!!!

Arc, please dont embarrass me or my car when we finally meet, please. Promise I wont embarrass your car too badly.

Looks like I need to get off my ass and keep this thing in proper shape. Can't have it looking like a dog's behind when its behind is all you're gonna see.

LOL, sure thing Arc. Yeah. How many IACs are you gonna need for a 1/4 mile pass? I'll be sure to keep a stockpile just for you, just 'cause I'm nice like that.

Eh? I've never had to replace that. kooky

Had that weird idle thing long long time ago and investigated but never found the actual problem. It just stopped doing it. Seems to be the theme with this car.

"HEY. HEY I'M BREAKING THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH M- oh hey nevermind, just playin' lol I'm perfectly fine."

Lots of do-it-once-then-never-do-it-again stuff.

Might want to bring me some wheel bearings though, it eats those like Wheaties. I sacrifice wheel bearings to the Pontiac gods.

The new greeting for GP owners... "Has your car had it's bearings today?" smile

I think I still have a couple wheel bearings here at the house ready for disassembly for those curious enough to know what they look like from the inside. crazy

That's not just you, my car is the same way. I think it's a Grand Prix thing. lol Like it used to leak during a hard rain, then stopped.

Sorry, Rick, 40hp & torque less than me may not be much, but that's when I was stock. :p Seriously, though, you should come with me to Baytown sometime. We'll run the quarter mile a couple times, then watch the rest of the cars for a couple hours. You never know what you'll see at the track...

What's your alignment and suspension look like? If you're damn near doing rituals with virgins, you might wanna look at the way your car is sittin.

Well, shoot, if your car just comes up with problems on a whim, you may not wanna put her up against Shianne. Your poor car would never be the same again. I wouldnt want to force your car into a depression.

John, next time I come down that way, we should tear them hubs apart. That would be fun.

Jon, I'm thinkin that sometime here soon, maybe, I'm gonna head down there to drag, and maybe even grab the Wii from you. Problem is, something that you would hafta spectate is a blue 4th gen takin podium for street class when you're still sittin in the stands. That wouldnt be much fun for you or your car, now would it?

Weather's been crappy anyway, so I guess it was fate. Next month should probably bring nicer weather, let us know what it's lookin' like for you in the coming weeks, Rick.

Take care.

I'm taking a full week off early May, starting with the Laps for Charity, cuz my friend in the Air Force is coming home before deploying to Iraq, so that would be a good time to do it. wink

But late April should be good. Just give me a date so I can get that day off.

I'm in, possibly, maybe... pencil me in.
I just need to make sure I can get away that weekend. I'll be able to give a more solid answer the closer it gets.
I've got a few preventative maintenance items to take care of before I go on the road... coils, plugs, wires, t-stat, fuel filter. But that won't be any issue. As soon as my Gub'ment check gets in I'll be able to get everything I need and get it done.

Rick: right......... diva would be the diamond among the rough...

That is unless Arc get's hers all detailed out and then diva would be second in line. :p

I think early May would work for me... Just let me know when y'all want to show up. I can put up people for the night as well if things go late. More than enough room for a few.

Ha! That ain't happening.
When I go away and do car stuff, I do it so I can get away from the family. Bringing them would defeat the whole purpose of me going, not to mention the constant "can we leave now?" from my oldest and "how much longer" from the wife.
no

Well, it looks like I'm out for the 2nd of May... Need to help my sis-in-law move. Brother will be barely into tech school so he won't be able to do anything and I'm the closest family member.

Anyone want to help? smile

cant see why not. I'll check with my wife. She was iffy enough as it is with Houston all day, but Austin? I dunno. Gimme a chance to POSSIBLY meet the man who helped me and my family several times try and navigate the craziness that is the Austin highway system.

yeah, just showing what the current plans are so that if anyone outside the CenTex/East and Deep East TX areas wanna join, they can plan based on what the latest agreements are.

Speaking of, how about 9 MAY at Slick's place?

hmmmmmm...I sure hope the GP is ready by then...

since I'm lazy like that, what are all the costs associated with TMS? How many others are interested, SERIOUSLY interested, in going?

Then comes the question: Who gets to go? Shianne or Colleen? Hmmmmm. Decisions, decisions...

If memory serves, it's $30 for three laps, and an extra $10 to get a pic of you & your car in the winners circle.

As far as who goes, that's a good question. If you take Colleen, then Diva would be the only non-GP. lol
