Of milk at Publix today!
Wow, that jumped like $2.00 instantly.

And this was in the paper last week, check out the price increases, and the new $5.95 for milk price isn't in this decision:

Yep I know I buy six gallons a week.

Now keep this in mind quite a few states it's actually illegal to sell milk at a profit. The stores must sell at cost or below.

Ohh by the way the other day I saw peaches for sale at $2.99 each. And no they weren't organic or anything exotic just run of the mill mass grown peaches.

I work next to an Entenmann's bakery outlet store, and the Hostess outlet store is right around the corner. I buy bread at either one and the most I pay is $1.50 per loaf. Plus they have all those goodies that I shouldn't eat. For milk, I buy the hormone free milk. I usually pay a little more, but it's worth it.

Herc,
I know what you mean...I can remember when I was in high school my family (there were 5 of us) went through a gallon of milk every day.

My two year old daughter drinks a gallon of milk by herself every week (and she goes to daycare M-F). My son needs to drink Soy milk, and we buy that in bulk at Costco.

Have you looked at buying milk at Costco (or Sam's Club)? You would definitely save some $.
