Hey everyone! I'm new here obviously and am a proud owner for a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT! I've always wanted one, and had always looked for a GTP from the model before. Then I came across the recent one I have (which is black btw) and I instantly fell in love.

I wasnt a big fan of the way the new ones look when they were first on the scene, but It grew on me... fast. I love the interior, the way everything is focused on the driver and all buttons within reach. My steering wheel has the radio controls on it.

So again, Im new here, Im a big fan of the Grand Prix's (sad to see them leave by 2009), and I'm a big metal head. My car is pictured below in my signature.

Should I expect anything with my 04 GP as far as future problems?

Hello all!

Welcome.

Your post made me realize just how "old" my 98 is. frown But you still can't beat the looks of it.

Welcome!
I don't know a whole lot about the 04+, but I know the 3800 is about as solid as they come.

Hercman - I still love the wide body styling of the 97 - 03 GP's! Looks wider than my current one.

AustinGP - Thats what I was hoping to hear about the engine. My last vehicle was a 99 Olds Intrigue which the shortstar engine (3.5) and that was a money pit. I dont reccomend that engine to anyone.

the motor is definately not the problem here. the 3800 is a very modable and powerful motor!

Some of my family used to live in Brownsville, ages ago.

Welcome! Black is the best color for the 04+, in my opinion.

the 04 up body style looks evenmore wicked with the PFYC Inferno appearance pkg. Welcome aboard! You've got great car (another GT owner) and I think youre gonna find out just how much you love it the longer you keep it. The GP does so many things well.
