I heard many people, and my best friends dad, who ar all republicans vote for Obama.
I didn't like the fact that many voted for Obama because of his skin color.
However, I believe just as many voted for him for way better reasons too.
The person or people that should run for president are the smartest people alive, but they won't because they know you can't please everyone.
I believe, unfortunately, that with the way the politics/government is setup, you really can't be a extremely nice, gentle person. You won't get far, that is what stinks in this country.

I hope this is a huge step towards the never defeated word "racism".

Anybody with true republican values would not vote for Obama. He is the extreme opposite of most of them. Real republicans who wouldn't vote for McCain did so because McCain was even too liberal.

The crazy thing is, hope this isn't of offense (I voted Obama), he is mulatto. And most of the tv information pursues him as black (or african american decent).

I think most people voted for Obama becuase McCain is associated too much with Bush, and Bush is wrongfully blamed for the economic crisis and other things. I prefer Obama, but I think either one would have been good, if McCain would have got it, we would just have four more years of Bush.

What people seem to have forgotten was McCain is way more liberal then most Republican's. In the past he has banged heads with republican leadership because of his leftist views. The only thing McCain had against him was his age and the (R).

He originally wanted Lieberman as his running mate but the leadership thought they'd lose to many religious votes.

McCain was only associated due to his party. He went against allot of what Bush was for. McCain almost got kicked out of the republican party because he was too liberal from them. This is why he is known as "The Mavrick" McCain has been an Arizona Senitor for many terms and has done a great job.

I fear for what is coming under the socialist views of Obama.......
