Does Anyone here like the monte Carlo SS or regal GS. Basically the same car, but the design does not grab me at all. I beleive Pontiac has cornered the market on design.

Yup. They're cousins via the 3800 II engine. I do like the Monte styling a bit but not the regal.

Yes Pontiac I think has the nicest design. I thought about getting and SS or a GTO. I drove an SS and I liked it. It looks alright, but Im more partial to the 80s SS's.

When this newer style Monte Carlo came out (2000?) I thought it was hideous. After awhile it grew on me, and now I love it. As for Regals, their styling is very bland, so it's not much to look at, but it's quite the sleeper.

The Monte Carlo SS is awesome looking, but I like the look of the GP better. Although, I'd kill for an 87-89 Monte SS. Those are baaad!

I liked the SS at first, but the more I see, the uglier they get.

I'm with Kyle on the styling... it slowly grew on me and I like it now. As far as interior, I wish the tach on them was at least as large as the speedo.

I do like the SS, I actualy almost got one but decided to go with the Grand Prix. I think it was a wise choice.

I use to drive a 91 Buick Regal Custome, with a 3800 engine, it was a decent car, but I really didnt like it, at least not untile it died on me and had to drive the "Hand-me-Down" Olds. Cutless Calis. frown

My '89 Grand Am had the Quad 4. That thing would move for just a 4cyl. It was a no frills car. No power windows, no power doors, 5-speed manual. About the only thing it had was A/C, and power steering/brakes, and FM cassette.
I loved that car!
