There is no exit wound, if you get hit in the arms its coming off. Say "bye bye" savewave

Good thing they're making sausage out of him, otherwise you'd probably need one of these to roast him on:

looks like a photoshop to me. theres too much blur where the kids arm rests against the pig. plus if you look at his left elbow you can see what looks like a platform of some kind. it seems like they had the kid lean against the platform with a gun and a smaller( but stil rather large) pig infront of him then made the pig larger until it matched the height the kid was leaning at.

I just thought about this possibility: what if there were no exit wounds because the dang thing was so big, the bullet just got lodged inside it? Would that even be possible?

I think its very possible...Ive shot gallon milk jugs filled with water with my 44mag from 7 yards and they explode like bombs...but if you line them up three deep, it still explodes the first one, rips the second in half and enters the third...you can then find the bullet pancaked in the bottom. Given the hog's tough leathery hide, a layer of fat probably a foot thick (on an animal that size)and then a layer of muscle. I dont think you'll get an exit wound with a handgun...a 50 rifle would be a whole other story...or a 3in magnum shotgun slug round...dat woulda put a hole in him cowboy

50 cal pistol won't have enough energy to produce and exit wound on an animal that size.

But I'd like to see some confirmation on the actual story though.

Last time I went to a shooting range, I had my fiance shoot with a .45 Slim Hawg. It looked like the thing was going to jump out of her hands. I can't imagine a .50.

Yeah, I've seen it confirmed on several TV stations, and that's the story they are saying. A rancher raised the pig that big, and decided to get rid of it. It was scaring people. lol But they said it was too big to slaughter, and it was too big to breed.

So he donated it to this hunting refuge, and that's where it ended up.
