Thanks to the gpnet frequenters for answering my questions regarding the 12" brake upgrade and color input.

I purchased 04 monte carlo rotor set from ebay, drilled/slotted/zinc coated. 12" fronts and 10.9" rears.
Got the front caliper brackets from clubxx classifieds. Exchanged my duralast gold ceramic pads at autozone at no charge, due to lifetime warranty (thanks Rook for clarifying that).

Haven't given them a really good testing. Still getting used to them since this is the first day.

That wasn't his GP, it was his brothers.

Looks great, Zuul... So one thing I'm wondering... is the top or the bottom of the slot supposed to enter the caliper first? I have mine the opposite direction of yours. Or does it not matter?

as long as you follow the mfr's directions, it wont matter. my powerslot enters bottom first.

Yes. Hard to tell cause of the ground and the pic.

So far yes, they are really nice and strong, but it could just seem that way since I have new brakes... ya know? I can lock them up pretty easy... only tried at lower speeds under 45mph. Gotta pull that ABS fuse and see how it goes.

I have them but they're worn. I wouldn't bother with them. Smooth surfaces, but worn down in decently. I'd get rid of them on the cheap I guess.

IIRC that brackets were less than $50 used, and the Monte set of rotors I got on ebay for about $170 shipped, not much more if any than a grand prix ebay rotors set would run.

Yeah I just noticed that after I posted the pics up! I feel like a tard. I doubt it matter much.

I have seen them both ways and never heard which is right. I agree though, it probably doesn't matter.

My rotors didn't come with instructions, so I wasn't totally sure.

I only paid 94 bucks for all 4 drilled rotors from ebay, did you pay 170 for just the fronts?

I am waiting for the 12.9" conversion kit to come out from ZZP then I will get that setup

170 was for all 4, shipped.
$94 is really good. I could never find a set of 4 for under $140ish. I'm talking about the zinc coated ones. I have definetly seen cheaper for ones that aren't zinc coated and that may be what you got for that price, dunno.

I don't think the 12.9" kit will fit in stock wheels.
