Never trust what managers say about a store closing.

I worked at a penske auto center when I was 18, there were rumors about penske shutting down the auto centers. were were ASSURED by the regional managers that NOTHING like that was going to happen, it was all just rumors.

2 days later we were told we had no job.

I've heard tons of rumors that Circuit City has been going bankrupt. I've heard that for at least a year. But the store by me is still open with no liquidation sales. Can anyone confirm or deny the rumor?

Its true. And I couldn't be happier. It sucks for the employees, but that company didn't survive the capitalistic system. Keep your prices high, have crappy service, fire long time employees for new workers, etc. Your company doesn't deserve to survive. Best Buy ran them out, that's the way our system works.
